Tree Seedling Program Overview
The Alamosa District office participates in a
tree seedling program every year. We take applications
from landowners with 2 or more acres who are wanting
to plant a windbreak, shelterbelt, or for purposes
of reforestation, erosion control, visual screen
or noise barriers.
All seedlings are grown in our nursery
in Ft. Collins and are delivered to Alamosa in
April. If you are wanting more information about
this program, give our office a call at
(719) 587-0915.
Over 29,000 seedling were sold in 2005. Any extra
trees or shrubs left over are sold on a first-come
basis. Please refer to our nursery
seedling coopeators to find your local source
for seedlings from the CSFS.
