Boulder District: Serving Boulder, Broomfield and Gilpin Counties

The Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) provides private landowners with assistance in protecting natural resources in mountain, plains and urban settings, striving to limit damage from effects of fire, insects, disease, wind, water, and human activities. CSFS works to protect values the public regards as important, while improving Colorado's renewable natural resource base.

Goals of the Boulder CSFS District include achieving better public understanding of forestry's role and value in a healthy environment, and focusing on landscape-scale management and interagency cooperation. As such, the district is home to one of the state's leading interagency projects, Winiger Ridge, and is involved in the Front Range Fuels Treatment Partnership.
