The Durango District of the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) is one of 17 districts located throughout Colorado. We are a division of Colorado State University, with our headquarters located on the Foothills Campus in Fort Collins.

The Durango District Office is currently staffed by four full-time foresters, an inventory forester responsible for conducting the Forest Inventory and Analysis program in southwestern Colorado, and an administrative assistant. Our mission is to provide for the stewardship of forest resources and to reduce related risks to life, property and the environment for the benefit of present and future generations.
