Lower Gunnison River Basin

The Lower Gunnison River Basin is bounded by the Uncompahgre Plateau and Pinon Mesa to the west; the confluence of the Gunnison and Colorado Rivers to the north; Grand Mesa and Redlands Mesa to the east; and the Uncompahgre River Basin to the south. The basin includes portions of Montrose, Delta, and Mesa counties. Communities include Orchard City, Cedaredge, and North Delta. Although the Montrose District works directly with some of the basin area, it is mostly covered by foresters from the Grand Junction District.
