Dear Valued Customer,

Over the years, we have been happy to help folks coming into the Nursery during the entirety of the week. However, as our environment changes, so must we. As such, starting on July 2, 2018 the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) Nursery will only be open on Fridays for retail customers and visitors.

Open hours on Fridays will be from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. During Monday-Thursday, the Nursery grounds will be closed to the public, however the office will be staffed from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and available to take your calls at (970) 491-8429.

Of course, we will still be completely available by phone and email for any questions, ordering, tour organization, etc. from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday-Friday.

With this change in place, we will be able to dedicate more resources to growing out better, healthier plant material for everyone. It is no secret that the CSFS Nursery operates as an enterprise with a small staff and an ever-growing demand for trees.

Making this change will give the Nursery more time to really focus on the plants we’re growing for you.

Each year we produce roughly 1.5 million trees and our crew works extremely hard to make sure that those trees not only live, but that they thrive so that you may get high-quality plant material.

Making this change will give the Nursery as a whole more opportunity to really focus on the plants we’re growing for you, Colorado, and the rest of the United States.

In short, this change is for you and the plants.

Thank you for your continued loyalty to not only us, but to the betterment of our environment.

Happy Planting,

The CSFS Nursery Team
