Cooperator/Wholesale Ordering

On Aug. 1, 2023, cooperators and wholesale customers may submit orders by email at CSFS_Trees@colostate.edu or by phone at (970) 491-8429. The inventory will be updated weekly. Orders will be assessed on a first-come, first-served basis and allocated as the inventory allows. Once the order is confirmed, an invoice for a non-refundable 25% deposit will be issued, due 30 days after receipt. If a deposit is not received by the end of that period, the allocated inventory will be offered to the next customer.

On Oct. 1, 2023, retail, wholesale and cooperator customers can purchase seedlings by email, phone or in person. Full payment is due when the order is made.

Shipping & Distribution

Orders will be available for distribution starting Spring 2024. Multiple shipping and pick-up options are offered to allow for flexibility in receiving orders. Fall deliveries may be available but will not be a regular offering at this time.

Shipping dates should be decided on by Oct. 1, 2023, for pre-sales allocations. For orders after Oct. 1, 2023, a shipping date will need to be declared at time of purchase. The deadline for making order or shipment adjustments is two weeks before the shipping date.

Pick-ups are encouraged to offer the most flexibility and cost-efficiency for customers and the Nursery. Pick-ups should be scheduled by the customer for regular Nursery business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For larger orders, a trailer may be required. Nursery staff will assist with loading and will provide pallets if necessary.

Nursery delivery can be arranged for cooperators and wholesale customers. This option will include an additional charge of $2.50 per mile from the CSFS Nursery to the destination and back. The order will be delivered by whatever means the Nursery designates. A load sheet and Net 30 invoice will be included in the delivery. By signing the load sheet, the customer accepts the order as delivered.

Third-party shipping options are available at cost. The Nursery uses UPS to ship orders when requested. Orders will be shipped on Tuesdays in an effort to prevent damage to the plant material. The cost of shipping with a third-party carrier will be included in the final invoice.
