FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State Forest Service is now accepting Forest Legacy Program proposals from Colorado landowners. The program authorizes the USDA Forest Service or the CSFS to purchase permanent conservation easements on private forestlands to prevent those lands from being converted to non-forest uses.
BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Many Coloradans plant trees in the spring because it’s the best time of year to get new trees established, and communities around the state will be hosting plantings this week to recognize Colorado’s Arbor Day – which this year falls on April 17.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – With Colorado’s snowpack at only 65 percent of average and Red Flag Warnings again in effect throughout much of the state today, the Colorado State Forest Service reminds landowners that there’s no better time than now to prepare homes and communities for wildfire.
