FORT COLLINS, Colo. – For the fourth straight year, Colorado State University is hosting a volunteer tree planting in April to recognize its designation as a Tree Campus USA – a status retained for promoting healthy trees and engaging students and communities in conversations about urban tree care.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State Forest Service is now accepting Forest Legacy Program proposals from Colorado landowners. The program authorizes the USDA Forest Service or the CSFS to purchase permanent conservation easements on private forestlands to prevent those lands from being converted to non-forest uses.
BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Many Coloradans plant trees in the spring because it’s the best time of year to get new trees established, and communities around the state will be hosting plantings this week to recognize Colorado’s Arbor Day – which this year falls on April 17.
