Foresters Inventory Over 900 Trees in a Pueblo Public Park

PUEBLO, Colo. – On April 2, foresters from around the state took an inventory of the more than 900 trees in Pueblo’s Mineral Palace Park, all at no cost to the city. The inventory was conducted by the Colorado State Forest Service as a community service project, and accomplished by almost 50 foresters in town for the agency’s annual meeting and awards ceremony.

This Spring, Consider All Options for Dealing with Emerald Ash Borer

BROOMFIELD, Colo. – As the weather warms and Colorado’s trees begin to leaf out, insects living within these trees also will begin to stir. And with the invasive, tree-killing emerald ash borer (EAB) set to emerge later this spring, now is the time for those living in or near Boulder County to determine what, if anything, they want to do about any ash trees on their property.
