BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Like homeowners who still hadn’t winterized their sprinklers during last fall’s mild weather, many eastern Colorado trees were unprepared for the record-breaking cold in early November.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – In the Metro Denver area alone, trees provide $551 million in property value increases, energy savings, carbon storage and other benefits each year. But urban and community trees there and throughout Colorado face ongoing threats from exotic insects and other factors, according to a report released today.
BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. – In January, a national Wildfire Mitigation Awards Committee announced that 6 out of the 21 awards for 2015 were received by Colorado organizations and individuals for outstanding efforts in wildfire preparedness and safety.
