Granby Field Office – Seedling Trees
The Colorado State Forest Service tree program enables farmers, ranchers and rural landowners to buy seedling trees at a nominal cost.
The program is designed to encourage landowners to plant new forests, promote reforestation, establish effective windbreaks that reduce erosion, and enhance wildlife habitat. Trees sold through the program are for conservation purposes.
Order forms are available in mid-November with tree delivery during the first part of May. Tree ordering and delivery is done through local conservation district offices.
If your property is in Eagle, Grand, or Summit County, contact the local conservation district or extension office to inquire about seedling tree ordering events:
- Eagle County Conservation District: (970) 945-5494 Ext 107
- Middle Park Conservation District (Grand and Summit counties): (970) 724-3456
- Summit County – Extension: (970) 668-3595
Granby foresters are available to assist you with questions you have about the program or help you with selecting the right trees for your property. Call us at (970) 887-3121, and we will be happy to answer your questions.
