Fire Training

Valley Fire Departments offer Incident Command System (ICS) classes periodically.

Trinidad State Junior College, Valley Campus, 1011 Main, Alamosa, offers fire science classes and credits through the Wildfire Academy. Call 1-(800) 411-8382 or (719) 589-7000.

Classes are offered at Adams State College.

Volunteer Connections of the San Luis Valley, (719) 589-5688, also host ICS classes.

The Colorado Wildland Fire & Incident Management Academy offers classes each winter at Northeastern Jr. College in Sterling and at various locations in Colorado every June. Requirements and nomination forms are required for all classes.
